If you missed it, here are links to the opening and closing keynotes.
Opening Keynote - Catlin Tucker shares her perspectives on embracing the Common Core as a transformative leap in teaching and learning. Session Description: Many teachers across the nation are groaning at the mention of transitioning to a new set of standards. Most don't realize the new standards emphasize communication, higher-order thinking, technology integration and literacy, real world application and creative problem solving.
Closing Keynote - Kevin Honeycutt inspires and engages attendees. Session Description: This keynote is a fun look at the exciting things that happen when educators step outside their boxes and try new tools. It reinforces the importance of relationships while encouraging teachers to become learners again through positive examples of student success.
NOTE: Sorry I could not share the Friday Keynote by Sir Ken Robinson, but I don't think they were allowed to record and post it. Suffice to say, he was brilliant. (You had to be there.)

SPOTLIGHT TOOL:Collaborize Classroom
Working with Middle or High School? This is a great tool for creating and monitoring a class discussion. It lets you track student users and check their participation, replies, and comments. To learn more, watch this video from Catlin Tucker where she explains how she uses Collaborize Classroom with her English class. Want to learn more? Here is a site with Collaborize Classroom tutorials. Oh, and there's also a Collaborize Classroom app that lets students participate on their iPhone or iPad.
